HOW  GREEN  ARE  YOU?

I think I'm very much uninformed about friendly practices with the environment in Santiago. I have seen in several places classified dumps according to content, but as I have understood, they are collected by the same garbage truck, mixing everything together again, losing the effort to separate the contents. Maybe I'm wrong and this no longer happens, I need informing myself better.
I have not incorporated many recycling habits, and I know that's not good. I try not polluting, and I try to turn off artifacts, lights, lock off water tap, etc… I am very pleased to use the bike; I prefer it to any other mode of mobilization. Has never been in my plans to acquire a car, it is not something that interests me mostly, and I avoid it unless bad weather makes it very necessary.
Anyway, I'd like to learn more about friendly environmentally friendly practices, I think you can always learn and cooperate more, is practically a must. I think that many of us need to acquire these habits, but mainly, we must have real desire, a real motivation behind, which it be transformed in a habit, something built into one, a value that is passed down to the following generations as something habitual and normal.

FAREWELL……

I think it is very good to be constantly practicing the English language, which is useful, but it's hard at university, with academic load involving all other classes, spend all the time it really takes to achieve good results. In general, with just one day a week is quite difficult learning enough; but on the other hand, is quite difficult  spend more much time too.
In my particular case, I don’t agree really with the use of a blog, but I think it is a good exercise to practice English writing. However, it might have been better spent that block with more grammar classes that help us to learn to write better. Many students come to this university with practically null knowledge of English, with minimal knowledge actually, then, it’s required   then, is required rather a real learning English grammar before moving to try to write in a blog….. And in other previous levels neither work enough in this  L
On my part, I need so much to strengthen my ability to understand quickly English spoken, and to remember several grammatical rules, because if you're not constantly practicing, they are getting lost.
In general, I don’t use very much my English knowledge, except when I try to understand TV series and movies without reading the subtitles or when I try to read papers that I have to study for University. But this is not enough and any language, if it is not kept practicing, slowly is being forgotten in its details.

THE GUARDIAN  ARTICLE

One night, very late, comes to the Royal Manchester Children's hospital a van with mummies of the museum nearest university. In general, professionals use the scanner of the hospital for children, because it is much less required than other hospitals, even less at night. Thus they try to see between bands and covers, to reveal ancient secrets.
In the museum are generally fourteen mummies, but now there are only three. Visitors have not yet claimed by this. However, on the other hand, they can now learn, by example, about the illnesses suffered during his life or what's under all those beautiful bandages.
Asru Mummy, one of the most famous of Britain, died near 750 BC was donated to the museum in 1825. The paintings of his coffin revealed his name and the fact that it was a temple of Karnak singer.
Since 1908, Manchester has been a pioneer in research on mummies, taking advantage of all the advances of medical science to study them, establishing a comprehensive database of tissue.
Investigations have revealed mummies illnesses suffered during his life, their approximate age and their possible activities. Manchester also has valuable portraits painted on wood panels.
Thanks to the work of the scanner is able to investigate the appearance of the mummies without destroying its fragile and careful packaging. Have been revealed some similarities between the portraits and the possible mummies faces (eg teeth), but still lack funding to make a reconstruction of the heads. They conclude that "in the Roman period in Egypt at least, appearances were more important than the physical preservation of the body,"

MONEY

Effectively, money is needed. The thing is that one seeks to sound a little materialistic and say no, that's not so important, but at the end of the month are the accounts, you have to eat, pay mobilization, entertainment, etc.. Of course I have imagined myself being happy away from all the chaos of the city, living in the field and forgetting the money… I this way, I would produce just what I would need, just like to return the origins, the roots. But then one reacts, and here one is, immersed in everything that involves living in society, with its rules and duties. Eventually, you grow up with the idea that there are needs, you grow up believing need many things -being than not, they are just things you have allowed into your mind- and to satisfy this, you need money, and there begins everything.
So money does seem to me important, because at the end, I live in a society that gives me if I produce too. But I try keeping my mind cold, don’t lose the brain, and be aware that all that remains unreal.
I spend the money on me, actually. I have no children and that eases my expenses, no people depending on me, just me and what I need. I work some nights of the week in a pub restaurant, and pay my feeding, mobilization, entertainment with that money. I step few nights at my house so I do not ask for money to my parents, I think this is the fairest thing.
I feel I’m doing right with my money management, I save money every month, because you never know when you might have some unforeseen and need more money than usually.
But well, if for some spectacular situation I received an obscene amount of money, probably I would travel around the world and staying and stopping wherever I wanted as long as I want, and I would like to buy some land in the south and go live there. There is nothing special, but it is something that I couldn’t get now.

A FUTURE JOB....

Now, I will talk about some decisions that one takes in an specific moment during the university, and the implications that this may bring for the rest of our professional future. Or more than that, why one chooses that way and not another.
My first choice when I left school was entering to study Psychology, in spite of I was not very sure, I believe I do not even wanted to entering university yet; but there was pressure from all sides and in the end you choose to do what is supposedly the "right " way. I was only a year into this and finally I left. My second election was to study English Language and Literature, and I was there a couple of years, but I could not see myself teaching in the future, I'm a somewhat impatient and I think to really teach well, one must have a vocation. Then, the third and last election was entering to study Anthropology, my current career.
After,I chose Archeology, and I am very satisfied with this. I was always in doubt between taking Physical Anthropology or Archaeology, and finally I opted for the second option, but I do not dismiss may continue later in Physical Anthropology, because it appeals to me a lot too. I like research, laboratory work, extinct cultures, inferred from evidence, infer possible responses to problems proposed, research these, base on tangents evidences as the archaeological remains.
Based upon this, I think I'd like to continue with research work, although it costs. I also pleased a lot fieldwork, is a good choice, not underpaid, but sometimes may involve a little routine that ends up depleting. While you always need to bring some discipline to do a good job, I'm not serve much for routine work (that's another of the implied reasons I chose Archaeology). Anyway, it's very nice field work and be able to make findings on archaeological sites, and then imagine all the context that must have been behind this.
I think choosing a job, I will consider aspects seem most relevant then, if I have the chance to do ... there are times you need to work on something and there is no possibility of choosing a lot.
